Further experience and specialisms
Chris also has experience with Court of Protection costs and both solicitor and client assessments. He prepares costs budgets and attends Cost Management hearings, and other detailed assessments regarding the technicalities of legal costs management.
Chris regularly deals with a significant amount of advocacy regarding costs matters, Cost and Case Management conferences, hearings for cost matters applications and other detailed assessments that bolster his experience in this area. He specialises in preparing high value Bills of Costs for clients with complex commercial and costs litigation cases.
Chris mainly works with both internal and external referrals from solicitors, but has also helped social housing providers and insurers with their legal costs matters.
Internally, Chris has been involved in cost recovery regarding a Supreme Court matter. Also, his work with Defendant insurers has provided significant savings in costs claims.
Outside the courtroom
Chris rarely sits still. A massive heavy metal fan, he can often be found attending gigs and festivals around the country. Chris is also a devoted runner, enjoys indoor climbing and, until the Covid-19 pandemic, was in training for his first triathlon. In the rare moments where he does sit down, Chris enjoys board games, fishing and will always have a book on the go.
